See Yourself in Christ Jesus

THURSDAY
SEPT. 14

Acts 10:38, 2Corinthians 5:17, Colossians 2:10, Galatians 3:27
How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. *Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. *And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: *For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

Author PhotoIt is certainly good for us to wonder and marvel and glorify God for the great and wonderful things that Jesus accomplished while He was here on the earth. However, we must not stop there. We must also remember that in John 14:12 (NKJV) Jesus said, "most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. We need to also begin to see ourselves accomplishing these greater works in Christ. We are in Him and we are His body, Eph.5:30. We have the ability to function like Him on this earth. He has given us His life, His grace and His authority. We have been empowered to fully represent Him. That is why He sent us into the world, just as the Father sent Him, John 20:21.

God does not only want to touch us with His power. He wants to flow through us to touch the lives of others also. There is an exchange that took place on the cross that we need to complete. Jesus perfectly took our place and died for us. Now, He wants us to perfectly take His place and live for Him. To do this, we must start seeing ourselves as one with Him. By virtue of our faith in Christ, we are now in Him. We are new creatures and we are complete in Him. We must be conscious that we have His Spirit and we must allow Him to lead His life through us. We must continue to know Him and yield ourselves to Him. This consciousness will affect the way we relate with God and the way we accomplish exploits in the authority of Christ.

FAITH DECLARATION: I see myself accomplishing the works of Christ because I am in Christ and I have His life, power and authority.
