James 1:5-8, 1 Cor 2:7 NKJV
If any of you
lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without
reproach, and it will be given to him.*But we speak the wisdom of in a
mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our
of God, are you having difficulty making a decision? Do you desire the
best possible outcome for what you are about to embark on or are you in
a tight situation and need the wisdom of God to pull through? God is
saying to you today, ask for my wisdom and I will give it to you
Let us take a moment to imagine what we can do with the wisdom of God.
Imagine God being the manager of that business of yours. Would it
prosper? Imagine God getting an education in your school or course of
study. Could He fail? Imagine God submitting a proposal for that
contract. Would He be rejected? Of course not, because a superior
knowledge would be at work.
The Bible says in Proverbs 4:7,Wisdom is the principal thing: Therefore
in all your getting, get understanding. This explains the fact that
getting wisdom is very important and that without it, one cannot go far.
Our text above also instructs anyone that lacks wisdom to ask God, who
gives it liberally. This implies that God is willing to give wisdom to
anyone that lacks it. You have unlimited access to that same wisdom and
God is saying,' Ask me for my wisdom and I will give it to you.' What a
privilege! Now we can apply the wisdom of God in all that we do and
Lord Jesus, I thank You for Your strength that is at work within me. I
overcome every trial and temptation daily by Your spirit. Amen.
