Romans 8:24-25 (LB), 1 Corinthians 2:9 (NKJV)
We are saved by
trusting. And trusting means looking forward to getting something we
don't yet have-for a man who already has something doesn't need to hope
and trust that he will get it. But if we must keep trusting God for
something that hasn't happened yet, it teaches us to wait patiently and
confidently. *... "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered
into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who
way to show how much you really want to be strong this year is by not
only how much you trust God for His strength; but also by how much you
will give yourself to the things that will build and stir up His
strength in you. God has made His strength available to us but we need
to stir it up.
Therefore, the way you spend time in prayer and fellowship with God will
reflect how much you want to be strong this year. Especially how much
you will pray in the Spirit. The way you study and meditate on the Word
of God (especially on the revelation of Christ), will also show it. In
Acts 20:32 Apostle Paul told believers that it is the Word of His grace
(revelation of the things God has done for us in Christ) that would
build them up and give them their inheritance in God. This is why we
must let the Word of Christ dwell in us richly, Col.3:16.
We must also take good care of our minds and our physical bodies. Your
body is God's temple and the way you think will affect how your life
goes. Fill yourself with relevant knowledge both in your field and in
other important areas of your life. Think the right thoughts. Eat well,
rest well and exercise your body. Receive and practise right knowledge
pertaining to your health. Keep your body strong and holy.
ACTION POINT: Dance and rejoice in God like someone who is sure that
something great is about to happen in his or her life.
